Remote Support Disclosure
How permission, customer control, access, and sensitive information are handled during remote support.
Before a remote session
Remote access begins only after you verify the contact path, understand the proposed purpose and scope, and give permission through the agreed tool. Obtain remote-access software only from instructions confirmed directly through Weckman TechArc's published contact information.
During the session
You should remain present or available as agreed, may ask what a technician is doing, and may end the session at any time. Material actions such as software installation, removal, account changes, security changes, file transfer, or restart should be explained before they occur.
Passwords and private information
Do not send or read aloud passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, payment-card details, or private keys. When a credential is required, you should enter it privately. Close confidential files and applications that are unrelated to the support task.
Recording and unattended access
Any session recording, unattended access, file transfer, persistent agent, or extended log retention must be disclosed and separately authorized before it is used. Unless separately agreed, permission for one session does not authorize future access.
Ending access
At the end of the session, the technician should explain the work performed and any remaining steps. You may request confirmation that the remote session has ended and may remove the remote-access tool when it is no longer needed.
